Automobile Slams into Truck, Personally Injuring Driver

A man was critically injured when he slammed into a semi-truck on the Southwest Side of Chicago and was pinned underneath the truck. The truck accident happened at 73rd Street and South Cicero Avenue. A Nissan automobile was heading southbound on Cicero at a high rate of speed while the frame-type semi truck, the kind used to haul shipping containers, was turning onto Cicero. The automobile ran into the semi-truck and became pinned underneath it. Fire crews responded to the scene immediately and the driver of the automobile was taken to the hospital with personal injuries. He is currently in critical condition with personal injuries. While the man was critically personally injured, the police chief stated that it was a wonder he was still alive at all, judging by the wreckage of the automobile. Jury Awards $37.6 Million In Wrongful Death Suit

A jury awarded $37.6 million to a man’s family after he wrongfully died in an automobile accident. The man was traveling with his son and nephew on a highway. All of the passengers in the SUV were using their seat belts. The defendant was driving an 18 wheel tractor trailer, was traveling at a high rate of speed on the route. In a 16 second period of time, the defendant passed over three sets of rumble strips designed to warn drivers of an impending stop sign, two signs stating “Intersection ahead”, and two signs stating “Stop ahead.” The defendant ran over two oversized stop signs and then collided into the decedent’s vehicle. As a result of the truck accident, the driver was instantly killed and the two minor passengers sustained various personal injuries. The family alleged that the defendant driver was negligent in failing to stop for the stop sign and in causing the fatal truck accident. Truck Driver Dies in Accident

A man died when the sugar beet truck he was driving collided with a semi trailer in a horrific truck accident. The beet truck was going eastbound on the highway when it collided in a T-bone fashion with a westbound truck that had jackknifed on the highway. The man died upon impact in the truck accident. The beet truck driver’s name was not being released but it is confirmed that the other driver did not sustain any personal injuries. The Department of Transportation responded to the scene to clean up the spilled sugar beets and debris from the collision. At this time, no personal injury law suits have been filed. School Bus Crashes Into Pickup Truck

A school bus transporting 21 students collided with a pickup truck and rolled over this morning in LaSalle County, Illinois. There did not appear to be any life-threatening personal injuries. The students were transported to two different hospitals with personal injuries. The conditions of the personal injuries from the truck accident are still unknown.
