A tractor trailer was carrying 5,000 gallons of liquid fertilizer when it rolled-over at the intersection of 95th Street and South LaGrange road in the Chicago suburb of Hickory Hills. The truck driver was heading south on LaGrange Road when he swerved to avoid a truck accident with an eastbound car as the traffic light changed. The heavy load shifted inside the tanker when he took evasive action which caused the truck to roll in the truck accident. The truck driver was taken to the hospital to check for personal injuries. Police did cite him for failure to reduce speed to avoid an automobile accident. The car that the truck driver swerved to avoid in the automobile accident fled the scene. The cab and trailer of the tanker both overturned which caused a “very small leak” of sewage.
