Uniform Illinois Truck and Car Speed Raises Questions

A raised speed limit for trucks in Illinois is leading to questions as to what will result from this change. The goal is to create a smoother traffic flow, but many wonder if it will just end up leading to more truck accidents. The new law allows trucks to drive at the same speed limit as the cars. Many truck drivers already drive at these higher speeds, which leads to truck accidents with the trucks that obey the lower speed limit. The goal is that the uniform speed limit will help the traffic flow and keep the passing of vehicles down. For more information on this truck issue, click here.
