An Illinois truck driver and trucking company have been sued in connection with a trucking accident that occurred early last year, by a man who was rear-ended by the truck driver on Interstate 270. According to the complaint, the victim was stopped because of weather and traffic and the truck driver failed to stop in time and struck the back of the victim’s car, causing the victim to then rear-end other vehicles. A trucking accident occurred on October 26th at the intersection of IL 47 and Nelson Road. According to The Morris Daily Herald, the accident involved a semi-truck and a livestock trailer and was caused by the driver of the semi driver failing to stop and colliding with the pickup pulling the livestock trailer. The semi driver was ticketed with failure to reduce speed to avoid a trucking accident.

The family of a victim of a log trucking accident that occurred in 2008 wants to make sure that this type of accident does not happen to other people and have filed a lawsuit demanding stronger rules and more signage to prevent further trucking accidents. A trucking accident in Coal Valley occurred today when an SUV and dump truck collided and the truck burst into flames. According to WQAD News 8, the accident occurred on IL 6 earlier this evening and the driver of the dump truck was able to get out of the truck in time and did not suffer serious personal injuries from the truck fire. An elderly Illinois man was killed and four more people were injured in a trucking accident that occurred on I-43 in the town of Belgium on October 15th.
