Laptop May Be Cause of Trucking Accident

A truck accident that occurred on December 12th and left one woman dead is under investigation to see if the driver of the tractor-trailer that caused the trucking accident was using his laptop at the time that the accident occurred. According to Buffalo News, the state troopers found a laptop in the cab of the truck involved in the accident and tests are being run to see if the laptop was running when the accident happened. The trucking accident occurred when the truck struck the victim’s car causing the driver to die. The victim’s car was on the side of the road because the driver had just been in an accident with a deer and police were wondering why the truck was unable to stop in time to miss the car. Brave Cop Returns to Work After Truck Accident

A police officer from Macon County is back at work after a trucking accident that occurred ten months ago and left him seriously injured, including being immobilized for three months. The accident occurred last November 10th when the officer was traveling northbound on Illinois 48 when a semi-truck turned left onto the street in front of him and the officer did not see a second truck ,following the first truck closely, turn into his path. According to the Herald Review, the officer tried to avoid the truck accident but crashed causing a utility pole to snap. The steering column would have crushed his chest if he had not been wearing a bullet proof vest and he had to be extricated from the car. Although the personal injuries were severe, the officer persevered through his recovery and had returned to his job even though doctors told him he might not be able to do the same type of work again. Chicago Truck Accident on I-90

A Chicago truck accident occurred when a semi-truck rolled over on July 17th on I-90. The semi collided with a minivan and then rolled over into a ditch. All people involved in the truck accident were okay and only suffered minor personal injuries. As of a couple hours after the crash, all lanes of traffic had reopened. Illinois Trucking Accident Injures One and Stops Traffic for Hours

On June 6th a tandem semitrailer in Southern Illinois overturned on I-57 and stopped traffic for nearly three hours. This Illinois truck accident occurred when the semi-trailer made contact with a small passenger car causing the truck to overturn and completely block traffic. The truck driver received only minor personal injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The driver and passenger of the car were not injured at all. No One Seriously Injured When Semi Overturns onto Vehicle

A truck accident occurred early on the morning of June 2nd when the driver of a passenger car fell asleep at the wall striking the side of a semi-truck. The semi then hit a concrete barrier wall and then overturned onto the roof of the car. Luckily, this tractor-trailer accident did not result in any serious personal injuries. Both the driver of the car and of the truck suffered minor personal injuries and were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Two People Suffer Injuries in Truck Accident

A truck accident on May 14 sent two people to the hospital with personal injuries. The accident occurred as the truck driver was following another semi. The driver began to exit the highway and then realized it was not his exit. He jerked the truck back into the ongoing lanes, causing the truck to topple over. Propane Truck Accident Near Chicago Closes Ramp to Expressway

According to a report on Chicago Breaking News, a propane truck was involved in an accident on April 20 in the Chicago suburb of Addison, IL. The accident happened after the driver lost control of the truck while getting on an entrance ramp to I-355. This caused the truck to rollover and block the ramp to the busy expressway. The driver was able to get out of the truck on his own and did not suffer serious injuries. No other vehicles were involved in the truck accident and no propane leaked from the tank of the truck. Truck Hauling Pork Overturns Near Waukegan

A truck carrying thousands of pounds of pork bellies rolled over on April 7 on the Tri-State Tollway. The accident occurred after the truck was cut off by a car traveling on the tollway. According to the Lake County News Sun, police are searching for the vehicle that cut off the truck. The driver of the truck was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening personal injuries. Tractor Trailer Truck Causes Accident near Mansfield, IL

Two people from Arcola, IL were taken to the hospital after being involved in an accident near Mansfield. The accident occurred as their Ford Taurus attempted to pass a semi-truck in the westbound lanes of the highway. The truck veered into the left lane, forcing the victim’s car off of the road, where it hit an embankment, flipped and slid into the eastbound lanes. The victims had to be cut out of their car and were taken to a local hospital. Neither was seriously injured and both were released. Two Tractor Trailers Collide, Shutting Down Roadway

A major truck accident occurred around 1 p.m. on April 2, closing a busy turnpike as crews worked to clean up the mess. Two trucks were involved in the accident with no serious injuries reported to the two truck drivers. A truck hauling lumber rear-ended another truck, causing the lumber truck to overturn and spill its contents onto the road. The truck then caught on fire. Man ejected from car after crash hit by truck

A truck accident has recently claimed the life of a 24-year-old man. The man had been thrown from his Toyota sedan after a car crash and was lying injured in the road when a tractor-trailer hit the man, claiming his life. The driver of a box truck had stopped to help the injured man, and the tractor-trailer also collided with the box truck. It is yet unknown whether a lawsuit has been filed. Truck accident closes highway exit

In a recent truck accident, a tractor-trailer hit an overpass and jackknifed. The crash caused debris to spill across both sides of the highway. There were no reports of crash-related injuries, but an exit off of the interstate was closed for hours. Read more about this truck accident.

Tractor Trailer Driver Injured in Truck Accident

The driver of a tractor trailer involved in an early-evening trucking accident suffered serious personal injuries. The truck driver was taken to the hospital after the accident for treatment. According to reports, the tractor trailer collided with a pick-up truck, causing both vehicles to overturn. The person driving the pick-up truck suffered no serious injuries; however emergency personnel had to pull the semi-driver from his vehicle after the accident. He evacuated from the scene of the truck accident by helicopter. The highway was shut down in order to land the helicopter and remained closed for several hours after the accident.
