A truck accident in southern Illinois left a highway closed for several hours as hazmat teams responded to the threat of a chemical spill. The truck was carrying a hazardous chemical used in insecticides and crashed into the median of I-57. The truck was the only vehicle involved in the accident and no major injuries were reported.
