A chain-reaction truck accident in Franklin County, IL closed Interstate I-57 for over three hours and left one man dead. According to a report, the truck accident involved three semis and one pickup truck. The chain-reaction collision occurred when a truck carrying a load of steel pipes crashed into another tractor-trailer truck. This impact caused the second truck to crash into a third, which then rear-ended a pickup. The driver of the first truck carrying the steel pipes was killed on the scene.
