Beer cans were found strewn around a fatal accident site in which a stolen sport-utility vehicle flipped and its driver was ejected in Chicago, Illinois. A Chevrolet SUV reported stolen was being driven by a man in his 20s southbound on South Shore Drive slammed into concrete pillars on the shoulder, went airborne and rolled over. A witness who saw the truck accident said that the SUV was attempting to overtake another vehicle when it lost control and slammed into the concrete pillars on the shoulder. During the truck accident the driver was ejected from the SUV and was partially decapitated. Beer cans were found near the scene, but it has not been confirmed as to whether the man driving was under the influence. There were two passengers, one of whom suffered personal injuries.
