An Aurora trucking accident that occurred on January 4th left an Illinois man with serious facial injuries. The accident occurred when the man was driving down Butterfield Road and a semitrailer in front of him passed under an underpass and knocked ice into the windshield of his car. According to The Chicago Tribune, the man was able to stop the car, move the ice and get out of the vehicle. The victim underwent surgery at Provena Mercy Medical Center, and is expected to recover from his personal injuries completely. Many people are concerned that there needs to be more awareness of this dangerous area of Butterfield Road because other trucking accidents of this type have occurred in this exact same location.
