81 year-old Geneseo Pedestrian Killed by Garbage Truck

An 81 year-old woman was walking during the early morning hours when she was struck and killed by a garbage truck in Geneseo, Illinois – according to QCTimes.com. Illinois police reports state that the woman was traveling south on the sidewalk west of Center and Main Streets in Geneseo, when she -attempted to cross Main Street. An oncoming garbage truck made a right turn and struck the pedestrian in her attempt to cross the street. The 81 year-old woman was immediately transported to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
