7 Injured When Fire Truck Catches Fire After Crash

At least five firefighters, a woman and a child were personally injured on the Near North Side of Chicago when a car and a fire truck collided at the intersection of Division and Wells Streets. The fire truck caught fire after the truck accident. Five firefighters and the woman were taken to the hospital with personal injuries. The child was taken to the Children’s Hospital with personal injuries. None of the personal injuries were life-threatening. The crash caused the fire truck to slam into a condominium complex. Division Street was closed in both directions while a tow truck and at least six emergency vehicles attended to the injured and the debris from the truck accident.
