Civil Lawsuit Filed Against Truck Driver and Trucking Company

A formerly convicted felon was given a job as a truck driver, but immediately after starting was ticketed twice for driving for too many hours in a row, then immediately received another citation for running of the road and then one for lack of rest. Following the pressure he was receiving from the truck company, the driver ran a red light and got into a truck accident while he was trying to get his delivery done as quickly as possible. The driver now faces a truck accident lawsuit, brought by the daughter of the driver of the vehicle involved in the truck accident, for gross negligence. The truck accident lawsuit also names the truck company, stating that they rushed the driver onto the roads without adequate preparation as well as not assuring that he could actually comprehend the street signs due to a language barrier. The truck accident attorney for the Plaintiff states that the driver himself is not as big of a problem as the huge negligent mistakes that the trucking company is making in letting unprepared drivers make these trips.
