Illinois Man Killed in Semi-Truck Accident

An Illinois man was killed in a trucking accident in which a semi-tractor trailer hit two cars that were slowed down because of lane closures on I-43 in the Town of Belgium on October 8th. According to the Ozaukee Press, the driver of one of the passenger cars struck was killed instantly and his wife, a passenger in his car, was taken to a local hospital for treatment of her personal injures. The two people in the other passenger car that was struck by the truck were also taken a local hospital for treatment of their severe personal injuries. The driver of the semi that struck the cars said that he was distracted at the time of the trucking accident and failed to see that the cars were slowed down in front of him.
