Semi Truck Driver Charged in Fatal Crash reports that the driver of semi truck has been charged in connection with a devastating fatal semi truck accident that transpired in late September. Police records state that the 43 year-old driver of the semi truck was traveling southbound on an interstate highway when he failed to stop at a traffic signal. A passenger vehicle carrying four occupants was traveling eastbound when the semi truck collided into the vehicle. The 86 year-old driver and one of the passengers were pronounced at the scene of the accident. The other two passengers were transported to an area hospital where they later died from their sustained injuries. The semi truck driver has been charged for failure to obey a traffic control device. If the driver is convicted, he will face a $1,000 fine, in addition to, license suspension.
