Excessive speeding by passenger car drivers leads to many truck accidents. Trucks’ blind spots are large and when cars are going fast and swerving in and out of traffic the chance of an accident is greatly increased. A recent truck accident on the 1-75 was due to speeding and swerving and left one person dead. While the car was attempting to pass the truck, the truck hit the car while it was in its blind spot and the car ended up underneath the truck. The driver was injured and has been charged with vehicular homicide by recklessness and driving with a suspended license, after the accident left his passenger dead.
