Verdict Reached in Negligence Truck Accident Case

Verdict reached in suit over negligently overloading flatbed trailer. The court found that a tractor-trailer was negligently overloaded and that the overload was the cause of the truck accident in which a container from the truck fell into the highway and caused the truck to swerve into a second truck and then propel off the roadway. The truck accident resulted in the death of one, after he suffered severe head and internal injuries, slipped into a coma and died 35 days later. There was also pain and suffering damages sought in the lawsuit, for the emotional distress of the daughter who was the backseat passenger in the vehicle in which the fatally injured victim was the driver.
