Wrongful Death Trucking Accident Lawsuit Ends

A wrongful death lawsuit in connection with a 2006 trucking accident resulted in a $5.1 million verdict for the Plaintiff. The Plaintiff was involved in a truck accident in which his wife was killed when their car was struck by a trucker than allegedly ran a stop sign. According to staugustine.com, the Defendant tried to argue that the accident was due to poor signage and not his fault, however the jury found that the Defendant was 60 percent responsible for the accident, the trucking company was 40 percent responsible and the county was not responsible for any of the trucking accident.
